There are simply too many good dirt bikers in Germany at the moment?! This questionable reason was given to our team rider Felix Rosendahl for canceling his invitation just as he was heading for the Telekom Extreme Playgrounds in Duisburg -- crazy! So what does Felix do? Instead of hiding his head in the sand or looking for greener pastures, he simply wins the Local Support Challenge at his home base Dortmund.

So Felix was definitely in contention when the magenta-colored playground was opened on April 17th. Even in the preliminaries the battle is head to head and some of the favorites are eliminated. In both of his runs Felix is successful, sending Benny Korthaus and Lance McDermott to the bench. Amir Kabbani, the 2009 winner and third-placed finisher last year, is out as early as in the first round and unable to convert his second chance, which he received thanks to a wildcard from a telephone voting, either.
The finale is a whirlwind of tricks by the PROs. In the end, the scoreboard shows 88.0 points for Felix and a sensational fourth-place finish. The high score of the day goes to the Briton Sam Pilgrim, followed by title defender Martin Söderström from Sweden and Yannick Granieri from France.
