Sigrid Mutscheller
Winter triathlon – that’s running, mountain biking and cross-country skiing combined. ALPINA’s athlete Sigrid Mutscheller from the Swabian town of Aidlingen in Southern Germany is regarded as the world’s most successful female winter triathlete, with six World Champion’s titles and multiple World Cup wins under her belt. After a baby break she came back full force but “only” in cross-country skiing, primarily in marathon skating events. In the 2010/11 season, the high school teacher won the Tour de Ramsau, the König-Ludwig, the Koasa and the Ganghofer runs plus the Skadi-Loppet. In summer, the avid multi-sportswoman is successful in triathlon as well as at bike marathon and running events.
