BIG HORN Q
Order number: A7241834
Big ski goggles, big field of vision, big style. The Big Horn Q are one of the largest pair of goggles in the Alpina range. And therefore the perfect goggles for powder and your next free-ride adventure. They provide an enormous field of vision. And with top technologies an excellent price/performance ratio. Thanks to the large spherical lens and Quattroflex you have everything perfectly in view. The lens technology enhances contrasts and filters out disturbing reflections. The Fogstop coating on the inside prevents the lens from misting up. In addition, the double lens is break-proof and guarantees 100% UV protection. The flexible Comfort Frame and the comfortable triple-layer foam padding ensure they are extremely comfortable to wear. Silicone strips on the goggle strap guarantee an optimal fit in combination with a ski helmet. The Big Horn Q is best suited for wide faces.

100% UV-A, -B, -C protection
100% UV-A, -B, -C protection

All Alpina lenses provide 100% UV-A-, -B-, -C-protection and thus guarantee excellent eye protection.

180°+ field of vision
180°+ field of vision

Ski goggles with 180°+ view have a special frame, which is also combined with an extra-large panoramic lens. This means you can see more than the 180-degree field of view prescribed by the CE standard. You retain a better overall view - and can perceive hazards in your peripheral field of vision earlier.

Airframe Venting System
Airframe Venting System

Airframe venting is an intelligent ventilation system for ski goggles. Air vents at the sides and bottom with special foam covers allow a continuous movement of air within the body of the goggles. This circulation of air disperses moisture preventing the lens from misting up.

Comfort Frame
Comfort Frame

The Comfort Frame is designed in such a way that it adapts perfectly to the shape of the face thanks to the flexible plastic webbing in the forehead and cheek area. The result: an ergonomic fit that ensures the best possible comfort and prevents pressure marks. At the same time, the ski goggles are perfectly finished.

Double Lens Thermoblock
Double Lens Thermoblock

With Doublelens Thermoblock, an air chamber is created between the two lenses to prevent a cold bridge. As a result, the view is fog-free and always optimal.

Fogstop
Fogstop

All Alpina ski goggles have a Fogstop coating. This is not smooth but rough - on a microscopic level. This prevents moisture from forming a closed layer. So the lens doesn’t fog up and the view remains clear.

Hicon
Hicon

Hicon is the name for a certain orange tint of the lens. This colouring has the property of significantly increasing contrasts. This makes the view clearer and better, which increases safety on the way down. The effect is particularly helpful in diffuse lighting conditions such as fog or snowfall.

Mirror
Mirror

Mirror is a lens on which multiple reflective layers are applied. They provide protection from harsh glares and infrared light. Mirror is not only the feature of a highly functional lens, it’s an element of style.

polarized
polarized

Glasses with polarised technology have polarising lenses. This means they filter light and only let direct rays of sun through. As a result, distracting reflections and glares are blocked and do not reach the eyes. This makes these glasses an outstanding choice for types of sport in and on the water.

Quattroflex
Quattroflex

Quattroflex is the term for a specially coloured lens in ruby red, which reduces the proportion of blue in visible light. This increases contrasts in the snow, allowing surroundings to be perceived better and more quickly. Thanks to the lens’s brightening effect, the contours and textures of the piste can be perceived better even in poor weather conditions. A polarisation film of highest optical quality built into the lens completes the Quattroflex effect: Distracting scattered light and glares are filtered out and the contrast is also enhanced. Reflections and mirroring are minimised, which allows icy surfaces and dangerous situations to be seen much better.

Skid Grip
Skid Grip

Skid Grip is a special rubber coating on the inside of the eyewear strap. They prevent the ski goggles from slipping on the mostly smooth surface of the ski helmet.

spherical Lens
spherical Lens

The Spherical Lens is spherically domed, providing much better panoramic vision. The enlarged volume inside also optimises climate management inside the goggles. Thermoblock and Fogstop effectively prevent the ski goggles from fogging up.

Venting Lens
Venting Lens

With a Venting lens, ventilation openings are integrated into the lens to ensure optimum ventilation of the interior of the spectacles. This effectively prevents the lens from fogging.
