ROOTAGE
Order number: A9718131
Anyone who has the Alpina Rootage on their head has the best possible protection on the trail. Maximum safety, optimum fit and the best possible interior air conditioning. These are the main features of the Alpina Enduro helmet. For maximum safety, the high-performance material carbon is used in the Alpina Rootage. Carbon fibre plates are incorporated into the outer shell of the helmet, making it more resistant. The edges of the helmet are finished with Edge Protect, an additional ceramic shell, providing extra protection. Polycarbonate inserts reinforce the large air vents, which together with internal ducts provide the rider's head with the best possible supply of fresh air. With the Alpina Rootage you can not only rock the trails, but also manage sweaty climbs. Despite its extremely hard outer shell, the helmet has a super soft core. The washable padding is made of COOLMAX™ material and nestles comfortably against the head. The Run System Ergo Flex ensures an optimal fit. The adjustment system impresses with a filigree construction and fixes the helmet evenly in 360 degrees around the head. There is no more individual, easier and more comfortable way to adjust a helmet. A decisive advantage on rough trails. The Alpina Rootage can also be combined with goggles. An integrated hook at the rear and the adjustable shield at the front make this possible. Flow, nature, adrenaline: that's what you're looking for on the trail. With the Alpina Rootage you are sure to find what you’re looking for.

Airflow Venting
Airflow Venting

One factor that greatly influences comfort when wearing is the ventilation of the helmet. The strategically sensible arrangement of the vents is crucial for optimum ventilation of the interior. The air is directed into the interior, guided around the head and can flow out again at the back. The head is therefore comfortably air-conditioned at all times.

Carbon Tec
Carbon Tec

Carbon Tec provides the best possible protection. The high-performance carbon material is used in the inmold process. The integrated carbon plates in the outer shell make the helmet more robust. Forces acting on the helmet at certain points are absorbed by the carbon fibres, distributed over a larger area and thus mitigated.

Ceramic Shell
Ceramic Shell

All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process are fitted with a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched under intense heat onto the shape of the helmet in the making and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic shell is characterized by several qualities: It is impact- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.

Edge Protect
Edge Protect

Edge Protect is an additional polycarbonate plate that give inmold helmets a touch of refinement. It covers the edges on the underside of the helmet. This protects the Hi-EPS and increases the helmet's durability.

Ergomatic
Ergomatic

Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.

Hi-EPS
Hi-EPS

The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.

Inmold
Inmold

In the inmould production process, the polycarbonate upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under intense heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.

Run System Ergo Flex
Run System Ergo Flex

The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. The Run System Ergo Flex is the lightest, most comfortable adjustment system offered by Alpina. The delicate design clings evenly to the head and thus increases protection. The Run System Ergo Flex can be adjusted using fine increments – there’s no helmet more lightweight, more comfortable or with a more custom fit.

Y-Clip
Y-Clip

A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of an impact. The adjustment and fixing of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role. The Y-clip system ensures a millimetre-accurate adjustment - in a matter of seconds.
