Custom Fit is an adjustment system at the back of the head that allows you to adjust the height of the Run System in several steps. This allows the optimal fit of the helmet to be adjusted for a wide variety of head shapes. Pressure marks are a thing of the past, the helmet sits perfectly on the head and safety is improved.

Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.

One factor that greatly influences comfort when wearing is the ventilation of the helmet. The strategically sensible arrangement of the vents is crucial for optimum ventilation of the interior. The air is directed into the interior, guided around the head and can flow out again at the back. The head is therefore comfortably air-conditioned at all times.

Koroyd is an extremely stable and lightweight honeycomb structure, which is made up of a multitude of connected tubes. They are composed of two layers. The inner core is formed by thin cells, which are thermally welded via a second outer layer. In the event of impact, the system absorbs the energy and flattens. It is a high-performance material that can be cut, CNC-milled or laminated for any shape. Due to the stable design of the small tubes, Koroyd also allows for much larger openings in the helmet surface, which guarantee excellent ventilation.

Carbon Tec provides the best possible protection. The high-performance carbon material is used in the inmold process. The integrated carbon plates in the outer shell make the helmet more robust. Forces acting on the helmet at certain points are absorbed by the carbon fibres, distributed over a larger area and thus mitigated.

All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process are fitted with a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched under intense heat onto the shape of the helmet in the making and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic shell is characterized by several qualities: It is impact- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.

Edge Protect is an additional polycarbonate plate that give inmold helmets a touch of refinement. It covers the edges on the underside of the helmet. This protects the Hi-EPS and increases the helmet's durability.

Hardshell helmets consist of a Hi-EPS core and an impact-resistant outer shell made of ABS or polycarbonate. This combination ensures maximum safety.

The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.

In the inmold production process, the polycarbonate upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under intense heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.

Twin Shell is a second polycarbonate shell that pulls over the entire helmet as a grid structure between the upper shell and the EPS body, and braces the helmet. The inmold process thermally connects the second shell so that it cannot be separated from the outer shell or the Hi-EPS of the helmet body – ensuring the best possible pressure distribution.

For a better view

Varioflex is a lens technology in which the lens tint automatically adjusts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromatic) lens reacts to visible light. When exposed to radiation, chemical elements open up and create a flat, darkening effect. When the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the lens becomes brighter again. This process takes seconds. The result: a lens for a wide variety of light conditions.

Singleflex lenses are made of break-proof polycarbonate. They provide 100% UV-A-, -B-, -C-protection and thus guarantee excellent eye protection. The hard (non-reflective) coating of the lens is extremely robust and scratch-resistant. Fogstop prevents fogging and ensures a clear view.
