Order number: A9721133
The streets, the mountains, the inclines, the descents: this is the world of the Valparola. The light racing bike helmet proves to be a winner with its low weight and excellent ventilation. The aerodynamics were the focal point during development. Thanks to the 27 large openings, the head is ventilated as well as possible at all times. The low weight is due to the inmold production where the helmet’s upper shell is thermally connected with the Hi-EPS. This results in a solid surface connection, which is responsible for a very sturdy design. The Valparola’s special feature: it consists of a three-piece shell system that provides the highest degree of stability to every part of the helmet. With the Run System Ergo Pro, which can be combined with the height-adjustable Custom Fit, the helmet can be perfectly adjusted to your head. Another plus for comfort: the removable anti-bacterial cushioning. Fly screens keep insects away from the head, and the optional shield guarantees optimum protection in the field of vision. The lower edge of the helmet is protected by the polycarbonate shell Edge Protect.

Airflow Venting
Airflow Venting

One factor that greatly influences comfort when wearing is the ventilation of the helmet. The strategically sensible arrangement of the vents is crucial for optimum ventilation of the interior. The air is directed into the interior, guided around the head and can flow out again at the back. The head is therefore comfortably air-conditioned at all times.

Ceramic Shell
Ceramic Shell

All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process are fitted with a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched under intense heat onto the shape of the helmet in the making and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic shell is characterized by several qualities: It is impact- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.

Custom Fit
Custom Fit

Custom Fit is an adjustment system at the back of the head that allows you to adjust the height of the Run System in several steps. This allows the optimal fit of the helmet to be adjusted for a wide variety of head shapes. Pressure marks are a thing of the past, the helmet sits perfectly on the head and safety is improved.

Edge Protect
Edge Protect

Edge Protect is an additional polycarbonate plate that give inmold helmets a touch of refinement. It covers the edges on the underside of the helmet. This protects the Hi-EPS and increases the helmet's durability.

Ergomatic
Ergomatic

Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.

Hi-EPS
Hi-EPS

The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.

Inmold
Inmold

In the inmould production process, the polycarbonate upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under intense heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.

Run System Ergo Pro
Run System Ergo Pro

The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. The two large wing-shaped head supports are distinctive features on the high-quality Run System Ergo Pro. They are made from a two-component mix of plastic and rubber. This guarantees a high level of comfort. Since 2014, the Run System Ergo Pro has been available in colours to match the helmet.

Y-Clip
Y-Clip

A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of an impact. The adjustment and fixing of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role. The Y-clip system ensures a millimetre-accurate adjustment - in a matter of seconds.
